Excellent food for the price. We got there before they opened and by the time we grabbed a table. The place was damn near full. The only inconvenience was getting the check. It's old school and credit cards were mixed up in our group. I would definitely return if in the area. Food was awesome!

Stellar food choices, great staff, beverage bar etc. Try it, you'll like it! As close to home made as we could find plus interior is really clean. Collectibles throughout from 40's, 50's etc. On the walls, CLEAN! Bathroom, CLEAN Go there, best hamburger around

Great food, great people! Had the swiss mushroom burger and fries..YUM! And for dessert had the chocolate peanut butter frosted cake one of my faves. You really can't go wrong if you stop here to eat. Lots to choose from and decent prices for the portions you get. Fran is normally there and makes sure his guests are happy and well fed!
This place rocks. It's a very hidden gem though! We came out here at night as this general area has rather bad/few places to eat once the sun sets. Had we not been using our gps I swear we would've completely passed it and not skipped a beat. They should really consider putting a solar spotlight on their front sign. That alone would help it a bit. Upon going in you immediately get that small town feel and I couldn't wait to try out the food. Everything people were having looked fantastic. On their menu they had some pretty neat things I hadn't seen before. I was told the serving sizes were pretty big and they did not disappoint! The food coma was real. If you're out in this area visiting Watkins Glen and are getting tired of the standard places to eat, you have to try this place. It's just a great change and had I not found it on our last night, would've come here more often! Food taste - 5 Overall Service - 5 Value of food to cost - 4.5 Facility - 5 Repeat customer? - yes Dog friendly? - no TL;DR - Go here, it's good.
Sweet Potato fries with honey dipping sauce... One of my favorite side dishes to get anywhere. But, really that is just part of what I enjoyed at Fran's. Had a really tasty, well seasoned, perfectly cooked bacon cheddar burger. I love when I order a burger and it arrives at exactly the temperature I ordered (medium). The burger was juicy and perfect. Was here for a work lunch party and the restaurant handled our large (9 people) group with ease. All meals arrived at the same time and were hot. Service was awesome, our drinks remained filled, our stomachs ended up full of tasty food. Look forward to going back.
